Yoga Thursdays & Family Friendly Fall Festival

Dear Friends,
There are some wonderful happenings on the horizon for this fall. There are yoga classes, the annual "Run from the Ducks" race and our big Fall Festival.
Yoga September 17th through October 22nd, 2009 Thursdays at 6:00 pm
What better location than a tranquil garden atmosphere to enjoy yoga. Classes start Thursday, September 17th, will take place each Thursday at 6:00 pm and will run through October 22nd. Our sessions will be led by the lovely Jane Baldwin, RYT 500, who is a Priya trained Yoga Therapist. You may use this link to learn more about Jane.
Fees: Garden Members $72; Nonmembers $100. The fee covers all the classes and is due at the first class. The price is the same regardless of how many classes you attend.

FALL FESTIVAL
Saturday, October 3, 2009 7:30 am - 9:00 pm
This promises to be a great day of fun, activities and entertainment.

- Gardening Seminars
Half-Marathon and 5K Runs Races start at 7:30 am. Awards ceremony at 10:00 am. View more race information or register online.
Children's Activities Lots of games, scavenger hunts, pumpkin painting, pumpkin golf. 11:00 am to 5:30 pm.
 Gardening Speakers Beginning at 10:00 am
Gardening seminars to include:
- Rainwater Harvesting by Homer Babbitt, former President of Parker County Master Gardener Association.
- Landscaping with Native Plants by Bill Hopkins, Vice President Native Plant Society of Texas.
- Special guest speakers Steve Huddleston (at 1:00 pm), Senior Horticulturist at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, Author and Consultant and Howard Garrett(at 3:00 pm), the Dirt Doctor.
Live Music Music by local artists Stan Crawford and rock band Elixir with special appearance by Emmy-winning kids' rock from down on the farm, artist Farmer Jason.
9:30 am Elixir 11:00 am to 4:00 pm Native American Music by Cheiron 6:00 pm Farmer Jason 7:30 pm Stan Crawford 8:30 pm Jason Ringenberg
 Photography Competion Winning entries displayed in the Chapel. Winners announced at 7:00pm. Please see our website for entry forms and details.
Tour the Gardens Fall is a beautiful time of year to enjoy the magical 35 acres of winding paths through stands of trees, gardens of roses and Texas native and adaptable plants. Waterfalls, lakes and lily ponds with geese and swans. G-scale model trains, on 1,200 feet of track, meander through a miniature world of historic towns.
