posted by Carol at 11:05 || under Events
Calling all cooks and bakers! Do you have a special holiday recipe, maybe Grandma’s Fudge or Aunt Theda’s Cookies? It’s time to share them with the community. On Saturday, December 18th Clark Gardens will host our FIRST annual Baking Competition. Entries may be submitted on Saturday, December 18th from 10 am to 2:00 pm and winners will be announced at 5:00 pm. Great prizes donated by Walmart include baking supplies and espresso makers. Don’t be timid—start baking and enter the Baking Competition. Or better yet enter with Mom, Dad or Grandma and start a new family tradition.
Also on Saturday, December 18th we will have a community wide bake sale. Any nonprofit may have a booth at no charge. It’s a great fundraiser for church groups, civic groups and school groups.

ROAD TRIP WITH STEVE CHAMBLEE
posted by Carol at 8:19 || under Gardening
Hop in the car and go for a ride down Garner Road with Steve Chamblee. Steve is the chief horticulturist at Chandor Gardens and does an amazing job. Parker and Palo Pinto Counties are very fortunate to have three very distinctive gardens located in their backyards-Clark Gardens, Chandor and the lovely, developing garden at the Vietnam War Museum. I hope you make it a point to visit all three this next year.
